How often does the Weather update?
My Weather doesn't display?
Please check with WeatherUnderground.com's website to see which cities they serve (try querying for the city). WeatherUnderground does not appear to support special characters such as ö,ä, ü. ß. One example is Göttingen, Germany. You will need to type Goettingen (or Goettingen, Germany) for your weather to appear). For convenience, a future release will show possible cities inside IntelliScreen's settings application.

Will this effect my battery life?
How do I view Weather in Celsius?

How often do News and Sports update?
I've manually removed some IntelliScreen files and have the Apple logo spinning. Help!
You should not remove any IntelliScreen files manually. If you want to uninstall IntelliScreen, do so using Cydia or Installer (however you installed it).
If you end up with a spinning Apple Logo, if you can SSH into the iPhone, you can copy /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.SpringBoard.plist.preintelli to /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.SpringBoard.plist. Then reboot your iPhone.
How do I purchase a license?
You must download and install IntelliScreen before purchasing IntelliScreen for a specific iPhone. You must initiate a trial license on the phone before the checkout process will allow you to purchase.
How do I install my license?
While you may have received a license file, for simplicity, you need only goto the IntelliScreen about view and press "Retreive License". If your license does not download correctly, please email

If you would like to install the license file manually, you may do so by placing the license.key file in the /var/mobile/Library/Intelliborn/ directory on your iPhone.

Why is my mail not showing?
There may be a number of causes of your mail not showing:
1) Ensure you have selected the mail accounts in the Mail settings of the IntelliScreen settings application.
2) Check the layout screen:
- If the mail is set to New1 or New2 - it will only show when new messages are available. New1 corresponds with IntelliScreen Page 1 and New2 for Page 2 (You can flip between pages by double tapping on the time/date area)
- If the mail icon is dimmed, then mail is set to not show. Either press the mail icon, or click on the reset icon on the far right of the bottom toolbar to reset your layout to the default layout.
IntelliScreen shows Possible Conflict message after 30 seconds
This is simply a warning in case there is a conflict. If you're not experiencing any issues, please simply press "Enable". If everytime you press "Enable", the screen freezes or the phone restarts, fill out the contact form with details.
Note: We may not respond directly but will attempt to address your issue in a future release.

Fixed 2.1: Resizing windows in Layout View is difficult
This has been fixed in 2.1
Fixed 2.1: IntelliScreen Freezes on Startup
This has been fixed in 2.1
Some users have stated they have had their SpringBoard (iPhone interface) freeze when Intelliborn is loading. While we are investigating the issue, users have reported that upon a reboot, the issue has gone away. Thus:
Current Workaround:
Perform a hard reboot by holding down the power and home buttons for ~10 seconds. After the screen goes dark, let go, and press the power button to turn the iPhone on.
Contact Photos are squeezed in IntelliDial
IntelliDial does not work with * or # in number
This appears to be an issue with the Apple API to make phone calls from outside the Phone Application. We are looking at a workaround but this will take some time.

Clicking on Link in QuickView causes Freeze
View Layout
The View Layout screen allows you to edit your IntelliScreen's content.
Customize which content to display:
You can enable and disable specific content items by pressing on the bottom toolbar. IE, if you don't want weather to display, simply press the weather icon until it is dimmed.
TIP: You can reset to the default layout by pressing the reset icon on the bottom right of the layout toolbar.

The # badge on the content icon represents which IntelliScreen page the content will display on. If the icon is dimmed, the content will not be displayed. If the icon shows "New1" or "New2", the content area will only be displayed if new messages are available (see below)
TIP: You can switch between IntelliScreen page 1 and page 2 by double tapping on the time/date area.

Show items only If New
If you only want to show your mail or SMS when there are new messages, you can press the mail or SMS icon until they show "New1" or "New2" (for showing only if new on IntelliScreen 1 or IntelliScreen 2)
Only If New Layout Behind Other Content:
When setting items to only if New, you can place the content box "behind" other items. IE, the default layout is setup so if a new SMS message appears, the Weather box will be replaced with the SMS content box.
Only If New Layout in Date/Time area:
You may also place the Only If New content box in the time/date area. This will cause the content box to be positioned in the first available position. The first available location is searched via the following process:
1) Unused space
2) Largest unlocked content area
-If the content area can fit two content boxes, the original content box is split into 2. Otherwise, replaces content box.
3) If all content area is locked, replaces first content box.
- If the content area can fit two content boxes, the original content box is split into 2. Otherwise, replaces content box.
TIP: You can lock/unlock the position of a content area by double tapping on the content area.
Resizing Content Area (Premium/Trial only)
You can resize content areas by pinching the content area:
1) Pinching in a vertical fashion will shrink the height of the area
2) Pinching in a diagonal fashion will shrink the entire area to proportion.
(Known Issue that the resizing on 2.0 is still buggy)
IntelliSkin
You can choose from a few different IntelliSkins (Premium/Trial only).
Cell Separator
You may also adjust the cell separator of content areas.
After choosing your skin, you may preview your new skin in the preview view.

You can customize your own IntelliSkin and make it available to others. The skin file is located in /var/mobile/Library/Intelliborn/Skins/intelliSkin.xml. The file is pretty self-explanatory.
You may download a custom IntelliSkin via HTTP.
Calendar Options
You can choose which Calendar items to show. Note, you can control whether or not Calendar items show on your IntelliScreen via the View Layout
Mail Options
Note: You can control whether or not Mail will show on your IntelliScreen via the View Layout
Managing Multiple Email Accounts (Premium/Trial Only)
While there is only one mail content window in IntelliScreen, the mail content area can allow you to scroll through multiple email accounts (Premium/Trial only). The most effective way to do so is setting the mail accounts to "Only New Messages".
You can select which mail accounts to show by tapping on the mail account.
Note: You must receive email to the account before you may select the account.
You can reorder your mail accounts by pressing on the right hand side of the account and sliding the account up or down.
Tap to Check Mail
For non-push email accounts, you can enable Tap to Check Mail. Tap to Check Mail will display a refresh icon on your IntelliScreen to request a mail fetch. This is the same functionality as going into the Mail.app and pressing the refresh button.
If you enable tap to check - your Mail content area will show even if you have it set to New1 or New2 in the View Layout screen. While the mail content area will be displayed to allow you to "Tap to Check", it may not show any messages depending on your Mail display preferences (ie, Only New Messages and the Mail content area is set to "New1").
Tap To Check will only enable if you have your mail fetch time set to an interval other then manual (Under Settings --> Fetch New Data -> Fetch).

On Lock Screen: Jumping to Next Account
You can jump to the next account in the Mail content area by double-tapping the mail account.
SMS Options
You can choose which SMS items to show.
Note: You can control whether or not SMS items show on your IntelliScreen via the View Layout

Weather Options
Note: You can control whether or not Weather will show on your IntelliScreen via the View Layout
You can add your own weather locations and labels. Weather labels are used so you can name "San Francisco" as "Home" - thus "Home" will show for the weather location on your IntelliScreen.
Multiple Weather Locations are supported for Premium Users.
Entering Weather Location
You may type in a Zip Code, or City,State, or City,Country. If the weather does not match your location's weather, try visiting http://weatherunderground.com and looking up your city's name on their website.
You may choose Celsius or Fahrenheit.
International Locations
You can try typing in your city, country. If the weather is not properly displayed on your IntelliScreen, try visiting http://weatherunderground.com and looking up your city's 4 character code in the source drop down box on their website. You can then use that 4 character code and assign your own label.
Special Character Note: WeatherUnderground does not appear to support special characters such as ö,ä, ü. ß. One example is Göttingen, Germany. You will need to type Goettingen (or Goettingen, Germany) for your weather to appear)

Note: You can control whether or not News will show on your IntelliScreen via the View Layout
You can add RSS News Feeds to IntelliScreen. IntelliScreen is configured with many popular News feeds. You can also add your own custom News Feeds.
Adding News Feeds
Select the Add News Feeds... cell. Choose out-of-box feeds by selecting the News or Add a Custom RSS Feed.
Add a Custom RSS Feed

Select number of Articles
The default number of articles if 5. You can change this by selecting the news feed and choosing the number of items to display.
Ordering/Deleting News Feeds
You can order and delete news feeds from your list by pressing the Edit button.
Google API for Safari
Because many news sites load slow due to a large number of images, you can enable the Google API which will strip images/ads from the news article. This will allow for much faster load times when using the Cellular network to access the internet.
Updates Interval
You can select how often the News will update.
Sports Options
Note: You can control whether or not Sports will show on your IntelliScreen via the View Layout
You can add various sports to your IntelliScreen. The sports content area displays up-to-date scores.
Auto-Dim Time
Auto-Dim time allows you to keep your phone from dimming while on the lock screen.
Note: IntelliScreen will reset this timer each time you scroll one of the content areas.

IntelliAlert View
The IntelliAlert View replaces the Apple blue alert window on your lock screen. This provides a better integration with IntelliScreen as the window does not appear above the IntelliScreen, but rather below.
Taskbar Icons (Premium Only)
Taskbar Icons allow you to see if you have a missed call (or voicemail), new SMS message, or new email message at a quick glance whether you're in another Application, listening to music, or on the lock screen.

Quiet Time
If you don't want the reminders to occur (ie, at night), you can enable Alert Quiet Time
Alert Types
You can set alerting types including vibrate, sound, and flash.
You can choose the Alert Sound which includes the system ringtones and your custom ringtones.
Alert Sound Note: The sound alert respects the silent/vibrate mode of the phone. If vibrate mode is enabled, the alert will not sound.
Alert Flash Note: The flash only occurs when the screen is locked as to not interrupt your phone usage.
SMS Privacy (Premium/Trial only)
You can disable Apple's SMS message popup (containing the message) by enabling SMS privacy. This will allow you to use your phone and not be interrupted by a message.
Note: If you would not like SMS messages to appear in your IntelliScreen, you can do so via the View Layout
IntelliDial
IntelliDial (Premium/Trial Only) allows you to dial by picture from the lock screen. Simply press the home key while on the lock screen and you can browse your Contact Favorites and then double tap the picture to dial.

You can enable one touch IntelliDial which allows you to launch IntelliDial while the iPhone is asleep with one click of the Home Key (otherwise, it will take one press of the Home or Power button to wake, and another press of the Home to launch)
Hide/Show IntelliScreen
You can hide IntelliScreen while it's running on your lock screen.
To Hide IntelliScreen: Swipe the clock/date area to the left
To Show IntelliScreen: Swipe the clock/date area to the right
QuickView
QuickView allows you to read your entire SMS or Email. It also allows you to mark those items as read or unread, in addition to deleting the item or launching the iPhone Application directly to that item.
